Meet The Team

Lydia Stafford

Director

Lydia is a Mental Health Nurse, Systemic Practitioner and EMDR Therapist with additional training in NVR and SPACE. With over 20 years’ experience across child and adolescent services, she brings clinical depth, relational practice and a strong commitment to supporting children, families and the systems around them.

Her work combines therapeutic expertise, training, consultation and supervision to help families, practitioners and organisations respond to distress with confidence, compassion and consistency.

Jackie Brown

 Director
Jackie is a Beauty and Well-being Therapist with personal experience as a parent of a child who struggled with school attendance. Navigating that challenge without support fuelled her passion for helping others, and she brings extensive knowledge of holistic and alternative therapies to the team. A mother of two grown children, Jackie is excited to welcome her first grandchild in early 2025.

Jake Stafford

Jake is a university graduate in business and marketing and is now working in a Macro-inteligence firm. Having overcome OCD, he is passionate about advocating for resilience, growth, and well-being—especially for those who have faced childhood adversity. Outside work and study, Jake enjoys the gym, ultra marathon running, fashion, and spending time with friends.

Jenny Shires

 Associate
Jenny is a primary-school teacher and Relax Kids coach, working with children in schools and families in the community. She shares techniques to help individuals self-regulate, build confidence, and relax, while fostering the belief that every child is special and unique. A mother of two sons, Jenny applies her knowledge to support her family—and herself—believing that self-care is essential to helping others.

Hayley James

 Associate
Hayley is a Mental Health Nurse with over 30 years’ experience working with young people and families. Trained in Systemic Therapy, NVR, SPACE, and compassion-based approaches, she helps others feel comfortable in themselves and guided by their values. A mother of two daughters, Hayley embraces joy in everyday moments and believes kindness, empathy, and strong family bonds are the foundation for growth and resilience.

Melody Selwood

 Associate

Melody’s journey with NVR began as a parent seeking help when her son’s mental health deteriorated during the COVID lockdowns. His behaviour changed, he became withdrawn, angry and often deeply sad, and the support that had once helped their family connect no longer seemed to work. Attempts to soothe his distress often led to further conflict, leaving Melody feeling overwhelmed, depleted and unsure how to move forward.

Through NVR, Melody found an approach that was not based on blame, but on rebuilding connection, strengthening parental presence and helping adults remain calm, regulated and supported under pressure. Her experience now informs her work as a trained NVR practitioner, bringing honesty, warmth and lived insight to families facing distress, conflict and disconnection.

Marc Clegg

 Associate

Marc is a Family Therapist and Mental Heath Nurse with over 20 years experience working with families and young people in the NHS.
He is an NVR and SPACE practitioner and runs regular parent groups, along with other NVR training. His career spans Early Intervention Psychosis, extensive work in adolescent inpatient and outpatient services and also in Eating Disorders. He is qualified to train professionals in delivering Family Therapy for Eating Disorders and also teaches and supervises on the Family Therapy MSc in Birmingham, where he lives with his partner and his whippet.

Nicky Maund

 Associate

Nikki Maund is a consultant systemic family therapist and accredited NVR practitioner and trainer. She brings specialist systemic and NVR expertise to support families, practitioners and services working with relational distress, risk and complexity.
